OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES

1/2 C BUTTER, MELTED AND BROWNED
3/4 TSP GROUND CARDOMON
3/4 TSP CINNAMON
1/2 C SUGAR
1/2 C BROWN SUGAR
1 EGG
1 TSP VANILLA
3/4 C FLOUR
1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
1/2 TSP SALT
1 1/2 C ROLLED OATS
3/4 C CHOPPED NUTS
3/4 C RAISINS

MELT BUTTER ON LOW AND CONTINUE COOKING UNTIL IT STARTS TO BROWN. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND ADD CARDOMON AND CINNAMON.

CREAM TOGETHER BUTTER AND SUGARS UNTIL SUGAR WELL DISSOLVED. BEAT IN EGG AND VANILLA. MIX IN SALT AND BAKING SODA. MIX IN FLOUR, BIT BY BIT. SIR IN OATS AND THEN NUTS AND RAISINS.

BAKE AT 375° FOR 8-10 MINUTES ON GREASED SHEETS. COOL BRIEFLY ON SHEETS, THEN TRANSFER TO WIRE RACKS.
